Helisek Sr., 71 of Smock passed away on Wednesday March 4, 2026 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Born November 26, 1954 in Uniontown , son of the late Charles and Anne (Pompura) Helisek. He is survived by his children Peter M. (Lori) Helisek Jr. and family, Zachary Helisek, Dale (Robyn) Illig and family, Brian (Shannon) Illig and Laura Illig. His sisters Carol (Ron) Kawatsky and family and Arlene Pierno and family. Peter worked in Masonry and construction. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church of Perryopolis. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, watching sports on TV and the outdoors. Pete was especially known for his wit, humor and charismatic charm. He lit any room he entered. Pete truly loved his family and cared for his mother. Visitation at Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext. Uniontown on Saturday from 2-6 PM when a Blessing service will be held at 6 PM.
