Peter D. Canerossi

Peter D. Canerossi, 84, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born on July 22, 1941, in New York, New York, to the late Louis R. and Mildred H. (Ziccardi) Canerossi, Peter grew up with a strong sense of family and duty that would shape his life.

A graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Peter proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He went on to build a fulfilling career as a kitchen designer, taking genuine pleasure in helping families create beautiful and functional spaces in their homes. Outside of work, he was an avid tennis player and a passionate ballroom dancer. A longtime member of the St. Augustine Ballroom Dance Association, he served as its president in 2013. It was through the association that he met his beloved companion, Hatsue Wright, with whom he shared many joyful years of dancing and companionship.

Peter is survived by his twin sister, Marilou (Douglas) Parkhurst, his sister Brenda Ressa, his loving companion Hatsue Wright, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Eugene Canerossi.
