Peter A. Sayadoff Jr.

Peter A. Sayadoff, Jr., 39, of Columbia, CT, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, surrounded by loved ones after a courageous 14-month battle with cancer.

Born in Buffalo, NY, to Peter and Kathleen (Watras) Sayadoff, Peter graduated from East Aurora High School and worked as a foreman for Sifco Inc. in Windsor, CT. An Eagle Scout, he cherished the outdoors and spent many happy days hiking, camping, and skiing in the mountains of New England and out West. He also enjoyed scuba diving for lobsters and attending music festivals with friends. Strong-willed and hardworking, Peter showed deep loyalty to those he loved and gave generously of his time and talents, especially in home improvement projects. Above all, he was a devoted father to his son, Preston, sharing simple joys such as campfires, days at the beach, and passing along his passion for nature.

He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Sayadoff of Fairport, NY; his father, Peter, and stepmother, Rachel B. Sayadoff of Boston, NY; his son, Preston P. Sayadoff of Columbia, CT; his sister, Kristen Sayadoff of Bolton, CT; his girlfriend, Katlyn Heath, and her daughter, Skylar Klotzer of Coventry, CT; close friends Jesse Green of Somers, CT, and Richard Zee of East Aurora, NY; aunts and uncles Dean and Susan (Watras) Anneser of West Granby, CT, John and Sally (Tracy) Sayadoff of Windsor, CT, and Richard and Carol (Sayadoff) Sarkozy of Windsor, CT; many cousins and friends; and his beloved dog, Chili.

Peter was predeceased by his grandparents, Henry and Margaret (Kellogg) Watras and Daniel and Marion (Hazen) Sayadoff, and by uncles and aunt Robert K. Sayadoff, Henry J. Watras, Daniel J. Sayadoff, and Robert and Lauren (Sayadoff) Gromak.
