Pete Scruggs

Donald Raymond “Pete” Scruggs, 59, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on March 13, 2026, at his home. Born on July 9, 1966, in Winchester, he was the son of the late Howard A. Scruggs and Kay Jean Shanholtz Scruggs.

Pete was a devoted family man who cherished every opportunity to spend time with his father, sister, and son. He found joy in simple pleasures, whether cruising in his hot rod, casting a line on a fishing trip, or gathering with loved ones at local venues to enjoy live performances by his favorite bands.

He is survived by his son, Reece Scruggs, and his sister, Paula Scruggs. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Mount Hebron Cemetery.
