Pete Salazar, 86, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 1, 1939, in Phoenix, Pete was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent much of his life in the construction industry as a union tile contractor. He proudly owned and operated his own tile business from 1971 to 2002, completing commercial and residential projects throughout the Valley. He built a reputation for his strong work ethic, craftsmanship, and integrity, taking great pride in providing for his family through the work of his hands.

Pete shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Brenda Salazar, with whom he was married for 69 years. Together they built a strong family and a lifetime of memories. Above all, he was a devoted family man and the proud patriarch who cherished time with his loved ones and the traditions they shared. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, known for his strength, guidance, and the example he set for those around him.

Pete is survived by his wife Brenda Salazar; his children Peter Salazar Jr., Kathy Salazar-Urias (Gabe), Janet Balingit (Scott), Tim Salazar (Gena), and Mary Salazar; along with 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, all of whom will continue to carry his legacy forward. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
