Penny Hicks ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Sisco Funeral Chapel - Springdale on Mar. 17, 2026.On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, Penny Lynne Hicks, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, AR, at the age of 66.Penny was born on August 14, 1959, in Springdale, Arkansas, to the late John D. and Frances Dee Hamilton. She graduated from Springdale High School in 1977 and then obtained her PhD in exercise physiology from the University of Arkansas. She later worked for Varsity Athletics for several years as a salesperson, helping many young women in her sales territory with their dreams of cheerleading. She was known for her warmth, sense of humor, and outstanding organizational skills. She enjoyed exercising and keeping herself healthy, and spending time with family and friends.Penny was preceded in death by her parents and her infant daughter, Kristin Lynne Dameron. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Hicks of Bella Vista; her daughter Krystle (Mike) Joneson of Centerton; her brother, Danny (Leigh Anne) Hamilton; two grandchildren, Emma and Ava; two stepdaughters, Wendy (Johnny) Watts of Clinton, TN and Amy (Tam) Gray of Norris, TN; three step-granddaughters, McKenna, Harper, and Karleigh; and two step-grandsons, Charlie and Wesley; many friends and extended family who will miss her dearly.A memorial to Penny's life will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale.
