Peggy Gagnon

Peggy Gagnon GREENVILLE - Peggy Gagnon, 95, died peacefully on March 14, 2026, at Cypress Glen Assisted Living. A private memorial will be held for the family, and interment will be at Oakmont Memorial Park in Lafayette, California. Peggy was born in New Orleans to Charles and Sarah Bloss. She grew up in New Orleans where she met and married her husband, Arthur Gagnon. They shared 64 joyful years of marriage before Arthur's death in 2014. In 1969, Arthur's job with Chevron Oil Company took them to California where they resided in Walnut Creek for 44 years, raising the family and enjoying many happy friendships. Peggy worked for the Mt. Diablo school district for 20 years in special education. After retirement, Peggy became a travel guide, where she and Arthur enjoyed many trips throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia and Africa. In Greenville, she was active in Newcomers, belonged to several bridge groups, and treasured time spent with her family. In 2012, Peggy and Art moved to Greenville, NC, and in 2021, Peggy became a resident of Cypress Glen. She enjoyed many activities and made dear friendships. Peggy was a faithful Catholic, and a member of St. Peter's Church. She is survived by four children and spouses, Greg and Karen Gagnon of Greenville, NC, Lisa Woodard and Tracy of Martinez, CA, Jeff and Tara Gagnon of Wake Forest, NC, and Kevin Gagnon of San Ramon, CA, four grandsons, Taylor and Amy Gagnon of Cary, NC, Carter and Kristine Gagnon of Raleigh, NC, Connor and Amber Gagnon of Front Royal, VA, and Quinn Gagnon of Raleigh, NC; and five great-grandchildren.
