Peggy Frances Franklin

Peggy Frances Franklin, 90, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, while under hospice care. Born on April 30, 1935, in High Point, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Denis Levi Franklin and Pearl Maness Franklin.

A graduate of Trinity High School, Peggy devoted more than two decades to S.H. Kress and another twenty years to Rose Furniture, where her strong work ethic and warm, friendly spirit endeared her to colleagues and customers alike. A lifelong member of Highland United Methodist Church, she found deep contentment in simple joys—traveling, spending time with family, and sitting on her porch watching the birds, a daily ritual that brought her lasting peace.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Sam Franklin, and her sisters, Irma Lee, Dora Burney, Treva Davis, Lena Kearns, and Leatrice Wells. Peggy leaves behind family and friends who will remember her gentle nature and the quiet grace with which she lived her life.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to her dear friends Doris Blair, Juanita Patrum, Sara Cottingham, and Claire Stringfellow for their devoted companionship, and to the caring staff at Hospice House for the compassionate support given to Peggy in her final days.
