Graeagle, CA

Peggy Eidson Kepler was born on July 18, 1938, and passed away on February 11, 2026, in Graeagle, California, at the age of 87 after a courageous battle with dementia. She was a beloved figure in her community and a cherished member of her family. Peggy was the loving mother of Cheri Kepler of Graeagle, California, and a proud grandmother to Ashley DeHann (Tony) of Salt Lake City, Utah. She was also a devoted great-grandmother to Maximus, Rocky, and Alice. Her nephew Rusty Stohlman of Meadow Valley, California, survives her as well.

Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Darrel Kepler; her husband, Raymond Kepler; her sister, Doris Anders; and her nephew, Randy Stohlman. She attended Gridley Elementary Schools and Gridley Union High School. She worked at Sycamore School, later for Eugene Higgins, OD, and then joined Granite Construction as a flag person, where she contributed to many projects around the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Beyond her professional life, Peggy embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm. She was an avid tennis player, golfer, skier, and angler who especially enjoyed these activities with her family. She modeled in several fashion shows and taught tennis alongside her sister Doris. Peggy and Doris were well known for their lively Fourth of July parties and their beautifully decorated Christmas trees. Her vibrant spirit and loving nature will remain in the hearts of all those she touched. A private interment will be held at Gridley Cemetery at a later date.
