Peggy E. Ruth

Peggy E. Ruth of Hatfield passed away on March 12, 2026, at the age of 81. She was the loving wife of the late Jack R. Ruth, to whom she was happily married for 61 years. Born on February 5, 1945, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Elwood Joseph Wentzel and Dorothy Elizabeth Hollowell.

For 18 years, Peggy served as a school bus driver for the North Penn School District. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and she cherished getting her hair and nails done, as well as traveling. A person of deep faith, she was a longtime member of Open Bible Church in Lansdale and later attended Fairway Christian Church in The Villages, Florida. She often said that her three girls were her world.

Peggy is survived by her granddaughters Amanda (Robert), Carly (Kristhian), and Rachel (Andrew), her grandson Ryan, and her five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Adrianna, Amelia, Olivia, and Rylee. She is also survived by her sister Joann. She was preceded in death by her sisters Betty, Joyce, and Doris, and her brother Robert.
