Peggy Doris Graves

Peggy Doris (Adair) Graves, 87, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away on March 1, 2026. Born on May 6, 1938, in Pascola, Missouri, she was reunited with the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Taylor Graves, who preceded her in death in 2013. Married for 58 years, Peggy and Bob raised four sons into successful and loving men while creating a warm and stable home for their family.

Peggy was a devoted caregiver and homemaker who kept her household running smoothly amid the energy of four active boys. She and Bob shared a deep commitment to family, enjoying camping trips, outdoor adventures, and explorations that became the foundation of cherished childhood memories for their children. Though they grew up in the same rural area of Missouri, working fields near one another, they did not meet until an arranged blind date in 1955 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. They later settled in Battle Creek, Michigan, to raise their family.

She remained deeply dedicated to her family and her church throughout her life. Peggy is survived by her sons, Robert Timothy and wife Rosanne, Randy Mitchell and wife Teresa, Kevin John and wife Kathy, and Darrin Shawn and wife Patrycja; grandchildren Cory Timothy and wife Jen, Lindy Star and husband Alberto, Joseph Paul and wife Shelly, and Maddy Paige and fiancé Micajah; and great-grandchildren Cameron Alexandra, Nicholas Alexander, Leah Morgan, and Connor Timothy.
