Peggie Moore ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Adams Brown Service Funeral Home on Mar. 17, 2026.Peggie Sue Rains Moore, age 87 of Albertville, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026.Peggie was born May 31, 1938, and was raised in the Grove Oak Community. She later made her home in Asbury after marrying her husband, Charles, in 1969. She dedicated 35 years of service as a trouble operator with South Central Bell in Gadsden before retiring in 1995.She was a longtime member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she dearly loved her church family and rarely missed a service. Above all, Peggie loved spending time with her family, who meant everything to her.She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Moore; brothers, Kenneth and Dwight Rains; and sisters, Hazel Rains, Maurine Eason, Idell Roberts, and Barbara Butler.She is survived by her son, Chuck (Angel) Moore; daughter, Rhonda (Michael) Brazier; grandsons, Evan Brazier and Laine Moore; and granddaughters, Kaitlin Brazier and Karson Moore.Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Adams Brown Service Chapel with Bro. Bradley Walls and Bro. Houston Daily officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home.Adams Brown Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
