October 11, 1951— March 15, 2026
Montevideo, MN
Peggy Louise Stock, of Montevideo, passed away on March 15, 2026, at the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 74.
Peggy was born in Tracy, Minnesota, on October 11, 1951, to Elmer and Donna (Wreath) Weedman. She was baptized on December 30, 1951, and confirmed at the Presbyterian Church in Milroy. She graduated from Tracy-Milroy High School in 1969. After living in Marshall and Granite Falls, she settled in Montevideo, where she operated an in-home daycare, caring for her own children and many others in the community. When her children were grown, she worked for more than twenty years as a housekeeper at Luther Haven Nursing Home, where she cherished the connections she made with the residents.
Peggy found joy in touring historic houses, studying Native American history, reading, listening to music, working on word-find puzzles, and watching classic television reruns. She especially loved *The Andy Griffith Show*, with Barney Fife as her favorite character. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Wayne) Panning of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Christy (Jason) Stock of Montevideo, and Jeremy (Amy) Stock of Woodbury, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Dylan Stock, Kaylee Steckley, J.T. Panning, Landon Stock, Tanner Johnson, and Sasha Stock; and her siblings, Dick (Sandra) Weedman of Lamberton, Minnesota, David (Joanne) Weedman of Middlebury, Vermont, Todd (Sandy) Weedman of Salisbury, Vermont, and Pat Marks of Tracy, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Chad Stock, and her siblings Earl Weedman and Diane Weedman.
