He was born on December 12, 1937 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.Manito was a dreamer, an optimist, the kind of man who always put others first. He championed those near him and his selflessness will never be forgotten.Manito lived a full and remarkable life defined by perseverance, generosity, and a deep love for his family and community. In 1996, at the age of 59, he and his beloved wife, Tita, moved to the United States to begin a new chapter. Starting over in a new country later in life did not deter him. With determination and gratitude for the opportunities before him, he began working at Home Depot as a sales associate. Over the next 30 years, he built not only a career but also countless friendships, proudly calling the store his second home.Manito was married to Tita for 52 wonderful years until her passing in 2013. Together they built a family that was the center of his life. He was a devoted father to his five children: Pedro, Cristi, Paul, Geri, and Sandrita. He doted on his four beautiful granddaughters: Julieta, Panchi, Florencia, and Sofi. He also loved and was loved by his two daughters-in-laws: Maria and Cande and Edgar, his son-in-lawManito believed deeply in the dignity of hard work. He approached every job with pride and dedication. He used to say that whatever you take on in life, you should strive to do it to the fullest. This conviction guided him from his early years in Argentina through the many chapters of his life.A defining chapter in his life was the kiwi farm he built with Tita in Argentina, a project that symbolized his spirit as a dreamer. Despite the venture not turning out as hoped, he remained proud of what he had created and moved forward unfazed to the next chapter in his life with resilience and determination.Manito's greatest legacy, however, was not only in the work he built but also in the kindness he shared. He carried a deep kindness toward those in need. His beliefs drove him to look after those struggling and more than once he would buy them a meal and even sit with them and listen to their story. He believed in giving people dignity, encouragement, and hope.He lived his final years just as he lived his whole life: planning, helping others, never without a new idea forming in the back of his mind. In a poignant twist of fate, he passed away just days after finally deciding it was time to retire from the job he loved so much.Manito was deeply loved by family, friends, and colleagues alike. His warmth, humor, generosity, and unwavering optimism left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.Those who loved him take comfort in the belief that he is now reunited in heaven with his beloved Tita, his two brothers Stumpen and Wally, and his parents Alfred and Nanna.
