Pedro Estraca

Pedro “Pete” Estraca, 71, of Seymour, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in Seymour.

Born on October 21, 1954, in Memphis, Texas, to Jesus Reyes and Juanita Estraca, Pete began working at the age of 15 to help support his family. He spent more than four decades as a cotton ginner, demonstrating his deep love and gratitude through decades of hard work and quiet sacrifice for those he cherished.

He is survived by his sons, John Estraca and Leonard Estraca of Seymour, six grandchildren, three sisters, and one brother. Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Silva Estraca, and his daughter, Lydia Jo Dunn.

He will be remembered as a devoted father and grandfather whose lifelong commitment to his family defined a life of quiet strength and enduring care.
