Rockville, MD
Peanie Grace Henderson, 74, passed away unexpectedly from a stroke on March 6, 2026. Born on July 13, 1951, she lived a life filled with laughter, love, prayer, and cherished memories shared with family and friends. The beloved daughter of the late Linza and Mary Elizabeth Henderson, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lee “Buddy” Henderson.
Peanie is lovingly remembered by her only child, Dana Kerr (Denault), with whom she shared an exceptionally close bond. She was a devoted grandmother, known as “Mommom,” to Landon Denault and Savannah Denault, who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her sisters, Paula Henderson, Portia (Steve) Babcock, and Paige (Sandy) Marshburn, along with many nieces and nephews who will always treasure the memories they shared with her.
Known for her quick wit and infectious humor, Peanie had a way of lighting up every room she entered. She loved to dance and was the life of every party, bringing laughter and energy to family gatherings and celebrations. A devoted follower of the Lord, she prayed often and held her faith close to her heart. She was an organ donor, and through her selfless gift she continues her legacy of generosity and compassion.
Peanie passed surrounded by love, with her daughter Dana holding one hand and her grandson Landon holding the other. Her family finds comfort knowing she is now soaring with the angels, embraced in God’s grace and mercy, reunited with her parents and brother. She leaves a legacy of love, laughter, faith, family, and friends, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
