Pauline Mathis

Pauline Mathis, 90, of Annville, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her family. Born in Owsley County on November 25, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Lizzie (Moore) Vaughn.

She is survived by her three children, Dan Mathis and his wife Kaye of McKee, Phyllis Nohl and her husband Earl of Illinois, and Pat Jennings and her husband Randy of South Carolina. Pauline was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Boss Vaughn of Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Raymond, and a great-grandson, Nicholas Mathis. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Stanley, Eugene, Albert, Denver, and Dale, and her sister Gwen Leonard.
