Obituary for Paulina Gucela Mantilla

Paulina Gucela Mantilla, a devoted homemaker, a God fearing and loving mother, and an unsung hero to her family, peacefully passed away on March 6, 2026, in Kansas, Oklahoma, at the age of 90. She was born on June 22, 1935, in Baybay, Leyte, Philippines.

Paulina lived a life defined by love, creativity, and unwavering dedication to her family. Her warmth, skill, and spirited personality touched everyone who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of strength, joy, and deep familial devotion.

As a child, Paulina survived the hardships of World War II—an experience that shaped her resilience, generosity, and compassion. Throughout her life, she embraced hobbies that reflected her vibrant and resourceful spirit. She loved tending to her garden, sewing, repairing household items, and building with wood; she was a master of carpentry at heart. A gifted storyteller, she shared her faith and love for Jesus through imaginative stories that captivated her grandchildren. She was also a devoted WrestleMania enthusiast, finding excitement and joy in every match she watched.

Above all, Paulina’s greatest pride and joy was her family. The memories she created with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will be cherished for generations.
