Paulette Goodrich WellsMarch 10, 1947 - March 8, 2026Paulette Goodrich Wells, 78, of Mechanicsville, Virginia, was welcomed into the arms of her loving Savior on March 8, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mattie Goodrich; and siblings, Virginia Roberts, Robert Goodrich, Barbra Collwell, and Janet Jones. Paulette is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Davis Wells; her children Gene Wells (Debra), Russell Wells (Kathryn), and Justin Wells (Christie); and two doting grandchildren Tyler and Courtney; as well as many nieces and nephews.Paulette lived a life that was full of love and devotion. She met her husband Davis, in January of 1966 right before he left for the Vietnam war. Just after a month of meeting, they knew that they were meant for one another. They then began to grow a beautiful life together, moving around the country frequently due to the nature of Davis' job. She never wavered to the challenge of motherhood and raising their three boys into exceptional gentlemen. Paulette was the support system that her family needed, supporting them in every aspect and walk of life. Once her boys had grown, she then went to work, working for HR for the Defense General Supply Store.Paulette found joy in many things, one of which was ice hockey. Her and Davis were avid Renegade fans and would never miss a single game. Everything that she did revolve around spending time with her family, from bowling on leagues, going to her son's sports games, and dancing the nights away with Davis. While she did love family related activities, Paulette enjoyed settling down with a good book or quilting when she was able. Her presence will be dearly missed by those who had the pleasure of being around her.The family will be extending and invitation for a public visitation for friends and family on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m., with services the following day March 13, 2026, at 3 p.m. at Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Road, Henrico Va, 23238
