Paula Claire Cardinal

April 4, 1937 March 7, 2026

Lunenburg, MA

Paula Claire Cardinal, born on April 4, 1937, in Leominster, Massachusetts, passed away on March 7, 2026, at home surrounded by her loved ones. She created a warm and welcoming home in Lunenburg, Massachusetts, where she filled the lives of family and friends with countless cherished memories. A loving, loyal, generous, and supportive wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Paula’s spirit remains a guiding light for all who knew her. Her life beautifully embodied the belief that the greatest gift one can offer is time, attention, love, and care.

Paula worked for many years as an Assistant Prepress Organizer at Eusey Press in Leominster, where she formed lasting friendships before retiring. She served as a dedicated Brownie Troop Leader and was an active member of the Ladies of St. Boniface Guild. She found joy in baking, crocheting, and cake decorating, talents she shared freely to bring sweetness and comfort to others. Above all, her greatest passion was her family. She cherished summers at her trailer in Wells, Maine, where she and her husband enjoyed the peace of nature and time together.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Leo Cardinal, whom she married on March 28, 2000; her daughters, Tina King and her partner Steve Stark, Pamela and Jay Cruz, Lisa and Richard Hastings, Michelle and John Petie; her grandchildren, Billy Hughey, Paula Hughey and husband Lance Gray, Rachael and husband Malachy Fallon, Danielle and husband Brett Bohl, Derrick and wife Melissa Cruz, Nathaniel Petie and Esme Petie; and her great-grandchildren, Billy, Abby, Isla, Nora, Liam, and Beckett. She also leaves her sister Jane Bilotta and brother-in-law Alan Jancaitis, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, step-children, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Pearl Rainville; her sisters, Deanna (Pip) Baron and Nancy Jancaitis; and her brothers-in-law, Amedeo (Butch) Bilotta and Leon (Lee) Baron.
