Paul R. Miller

1942 — 2026

Hancock, WI

Paul R. Miller, age 83, of Hancock, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, March 11, 2026, at Heartland House.

Born on September 29, 1942, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, to Richard E. and Jean E. (Cigelske) Miller, Paul graduated from Beaver Dam High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the University of Platteville. In 1966 he moved to Hancock, where he worked for Badger Growers before purchasing the business and establishing Paul Miller Farms. Farming remained his lifelong passion, yet he devoted countless hours to his community, his church, and his family.

A longtime member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Plainfield, Paul served 39 years in the Hancock Lions Club, 37 years as Town Chairman, and 54 years as a WIAA referee. He supported the June Dairy Breakfast, remained active in the FFA Alumni, and was a member of the WPVGA, earning induction into its Hall of Fame in 2021. He also enjoyed working for Sunoco at NASCAR races and attending sporting events, but nothing meant more to him than time spent with his family.

Paul is survived by his lifelong partner, Linda Breseman; his son, Todd (Nancy) Miller; his daughters, Michelle (Bill) Miller-Patterson and Jennifer Breseman; grandchildren Ian (Kayte) Miller, Jordan Miller, Kyle (Stephanie) Turzinski, Raiven Breseman, Makenzie Conley, Austin Conley, and Jaiya Breseman; great-grandchildren Blake, Joslynn, Allie, Sutton, Dakota, Corbin, and Luka; and his siblings Phyllis (Greg) Tratar of Beaver Dam, Ronald (Shelly) Miller of Blanco, Texas, and Jeffrey (Jan) Miller of Beaver Dam, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Linda and Patricia Miller, and his son, Jason Breseman.
