Paul R. Jones Sr., age 86, of Edgerton, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his family at his home on Monday, March 9, 2026. Paul worked construction for the Toledo Iron Workers Union for 26 years, then was a truck driver and retired from Stark Truss with over 17 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served from 1959-1961. Paul was a member of the Celina VFW Post and Butler American Legion Post. He enjoyed hunting and riding four wheelers.Paul was born on Jan. 2, 1940, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, the son of Robert M. and Ida J. (Fletcher) Jones. He married Wilma J. Browning in Jelico, Tennessee, on July 2, 1962, and she survives.Paul is survived by his son, Paul (Melinda) Jones Jr., of Edgerton; four grandchildren, Nichole (Kevin), Andrew (Melody), Daniel and Coby (Faith); and two great-grandchildren, Erika and Evelyn. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Troy and Herbert Jones; and sisters, Ange Partin, Frances Hill, Bobbie Powers, Johnnie Partin, Janice Riehle, Clara Chesier and Glenda Byrd.Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Krill Funeral Home, 114 E. Hull St., Edgerton, Ohio, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Melvin King officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery with graveside military rites provided by the Edgerton American Legion Honor Detail.Memorials in honor of Paul may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project.Condolences may be sent to and the online register signed at www.krillfuneralservice.com.
