He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard M. Holden and Agnes C. Holden (Fallon); his child Shawn M. Holden; and his siblings, Richard, William, John, David, Joseph, James Holden, Anne Marie Sullivan (Holden) and Claire Domansky (Holden).

He is survived by: his sons, Paul P. Holden, Jr. (Amy) of Clifton, VA, Richard J. Holden III (Kim) of Plymouth, Joseph C. Holden (Cheryl) of Fall River, Kevin J. Holden of Fall River and Michael P. Holden (Kristi) of Hingham. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Waring-Sullivan Home (178 Winter St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Name Church (709 Hanover St, Fall River, MA 02720). A burial will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at the St. Patrick's Cemetery (2233 Robeson St, Fall River, MA 02720).
