94 year old, Paul ‘Luke’ D. Henrichs, of DeMotte, passed away March 16, 2026, at home with his loving family around him.
On December 31, 1931, Luke was born to Ulric ‘Henry’ and Blanche (Strack) Henrichs in DeMotte, Indiana. He graduated from DeMotte High School, class of 1950. Luke married the love of his life, Lorraine Hoffman, on December 9, 1960, in DeMotte. He was a member of the American Reformed Church of DeMotte. Luke owned Henrich’s Body Shop for 38 years, retiring in 1999, and was a collector of cars, a fixer of cars, and also just enjoyed talking about cars to whoever would listen. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going on fishing trips especially to Rice Lake, Wisconsin, and collecting fishing lures. Luke was a member of the National Fishing Lures Collectors Club.
Luke is survived by his wife: Lorraine, daughters: Brenda (Dan) Herner, Lauri (Fred) Rinker, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Luke was preceded in death by his parents, and brother: Richard Henrichs.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 until 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. A funeral service for Luke will be at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Troy Nanninga officiating. Interment to follow at the Holland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Reformed Church of DeMotte or to Dune’s Hospice.
