He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Black and Mary Lou Hamilton Black. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Dodds Black; his children, Doug Black of Cranberry Township, PA and Lori Black Pauloski; his grandchildren, Harley, Cooper Pauloski, Avery and Camden Black; and his sisters, Darlene Black Sevin and Patty Black Horn. He is also survived by many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home & Sylvania Hills Memorial Park (273 PA-68, Rochester, PA 15074). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
