Paul J. Vilk Jr.

Paul J. Vilk Jr., 80, of Youngstown, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Mountain View Senior Living, Greensburg. Born on Jan. 16, 1946, in Latrobe, he was the only child of the late Paul J. Vilk Sr. and Margaret (Hovan) Vilk. Paul was raised in Youngstown and was a 1963 graduate of Latrobe High School. In 1967, he graduated from Saint Vincent College with a degree in mathematics. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam Era and retired in 1971. A devoted member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Paul served as Greensburg Ward financial clerk for 37 years. He also had a love for photography, a willingness to help others in need, and always paid great attention to detail. Paul is survived by several cousins and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 156 Twin Run Road, Greensburg. Interment will be at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at St. Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe. Arrangements are being handled by LOPATICH-BRINKER FUNERAL HOME LLC, 601 Weldon St., Latrobe.
