Beloved husband of the late Mary Ann Hayes, Paul was the devoted father of Jacqueline Bruno and her husband Michael of Norwell, Cheryl Todisco and her husband Michael of Manchester -by- the -Sea, and Karen Fenton and her husband Daniel of Duxbury. He was the proud and loving Papa of Madeline H. and Audrey Bruno; Jaclyn Todisco and her husband Chris Goodrich; Michael H. Todisco and his wife Maggie Thompson; and Abigail and Emma Fenton . He was also the cherished great-grandfather of Sophie and Camille Goodrich, and Charlie H. and Gracie Todisco.Paul was a strong, proud and loyal man who deeply loved his family. Born on October 11, 1937 in Boston, Paul was raised by his mother, Mary. Diagnosed in early childhood with polio, Paul persevered. He overcame this disease with remarkable resilience and later was able to successfully play football and run track at Medford High School. At a young age, he also learned the value of hard work and determination. Paul began working when he was twelve to help support his family. Recognized for his strong work ethic and integrity, Paul soon went on to build a distinguished career with Local 4 Operating Engineers, working as a Crane Operator and serving on the Board as Treasurer and Business Agent. Paul was an intelligent, hardworking, dependable man of the highest moral character-never compromising his personal integrity for others. He was truly a Union man believing in the value of organized labor and the personal rights of the working class. He formed many lifelong friendships with his fellow union members. Proud of his Irish heritage, he was also a member of the Irish American Club of Malden.Above all, Paul was a devoted family man whose greatest joy was rooted in the lives of those he loved. He embodied the importance of loving unconditionally and selflessly. He shared more than 60 years of marriage with Mary Ann, his true love, building together a foundation of strength and support that extended through generations. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly the light of his life-the spark that brightened his days and filled him with such a sense of pride.Paul's steady presence, quiet strength and unwavering devotion and love to his family will forever remain his most enduring legacy. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, Arlington MA 0247, on Friday, March 13 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM,and followed by a prayer service . Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the March of Dimes in Paul's memory.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
