He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hooten and Aulcia Hooten (Farmer); his wife Wilma Hooten; and his siblings, Charles, Donald, Bill Hooten and Nellie Curtis.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Edwards (Devan) of Stigler, Josh Hooten of Tulsa and Sam Hooten (Tauni) of Tahlequah; his grandchildren, Kynzi Edwards, Kyli Edwards, Kamron Edwards, Jacob Hooten, Jeremy Hooten, Samantha Jo Hooten and Logan Hooten; and his great grandchildren, Cameron and Hayden.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Serenity Chapel of Garrett Family Funeral Home (311 SW 2nd St, Checotah, OK 74426).
