Paul James "Jim" Greig, died on March 6, 2026. He was born on June 2, 1927, in Painesville, Ohio to the late Roy A. and Irene A. Greig. Jim graduated from Fairport Harding High School in 1945 and went on to serve in the Navy at the end of World War II. He was as a dairy farmer and served on the Dairy Board of Lake County, the Farm Home Administration, as well as his active involvement in the Ohio Dairyman's Association. He is survived by his children: daughter Ann (the late Rich) Spuller and sons Roy (Julie) Greig and John (Kim) Greig; grandchildren Aimee Spuller, Matthew (Jenn) Greig, Eric (Laura) Greig, Justin Spuller, Daniel (Ellyn Mitchell) Greig, Nycholas (Stephanie) Greig, Ben (Jenna) Greig, and Zachary Greig; great-grandchildren, Amelia, Connor, Eleanor, Louisa, Lydia, Riley and Henry, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Mary; and siblings, Mary Riley, Betty Stricker and Robert Greig. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077, with a one-hour visitation (10:00 a.m.) prior to the service. Luncheon to follow. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Zion Lutheran Painesville Food Pantry, Fairport Senior Center or a charity of the donor's choice.
