Paul Gonzales ObituaryVisit the Swaim Funeral Chapel - Dodge City website to view the full obituary.Paul Raymond Gonzales, 66, of Dodge City, Kansas, died Friday, February 27, 2026 at Ascension Via Christi Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita, Kansas.He was born on May 5, 1959 in Dodge City, the son of Manuel and Blanche Moreno Gonzales. Paul was raised in Dodge City where he played baseball while in Jr. and Sr. High School. During his senior year, he pitched a "No Hitter" game, of which his record held until recently. After graduating from high school in 1977, Paul continued playing baseball at St. Mary of the Plains College.Paul lived in Massachusetts for a short time, returning to Dodge City where he had worked for Cargill, Excel, and National Beef for several years. He later worked at WalMart for five years before retiring.He was an avid bowhunter and fisherman.Survivors include his wife, Julie Jacobs, of the home who he married on May 3, 2003 in Dodge City.He is also survived by his daughter Nichole Gonzales of Franklin, Mass.; grandson Jace Gonzales; sister Nora Mode and husband Kevin of Wichita; and Julie's daughter Catherine Morejon of Dodge City and granddaughters Ambrielle Traugott and Violet Morejon; as well as Julie's son Kiel Beardshear and grandchildren Raife and RipleyPaul is preceded in death by his parents and son Justin.Memorial services will be held on March 26, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. at Swaim Funeral Home 1901 6th Ave Dodge City, Ks 67801.Arrangements are by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Ks.Read The Full ObituaryTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
