He is survived by: his wife Marsha Mommens; his children, Tom Mommens (Denise), Tanya Schlamann (Mark), Helena Mommens of California, Chris Mommens of California, Mischell Hill (Wes) of Kilgore, Nebraska, Kim Minge (Joel) of Raymond, Nebraska, David Rayment (Laray) of Mitchell and Crystal Denny (Eric) of Long Pine, Nebraska.; and his siblings, Rev. David Mommens (Donna) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, John Mommens (Tina) of Omaha, Nebraska, Timothy Mommens of Melrose, Minnesota, Susan Rieken of Firestone, Colorado, Mary Swanson of Leavenworth, Kansas, Lois Koehler (Paul) of Omaha, Nebraska, Ruth Rademacher (Glenn) of Omaha, Nebraska, Eunice Mommens of Pocatello, Idaho, Naomi Franzen (Eric) of Weston, Missouri and Esther Cloeter (Joel) of Omaha. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (820 G Ave, Central City, NE 68826). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery.
