Paul was born in Detroit on September 25, 1958 to Donald and Lula Anna Dupire.Paul was a proud American, he carried a deep and abiding love for his country throughout his life. He believed in the values of hard work, perseverance, and community, and he lived those principles each day. His career as a Design Engineer at General Motors was a reflection of that pride, as he contributed his talents to an industry that has long stood as a symbol of American ingenuity. Through his career at the General Motors Technical Center, he earned the respect of colleagues not only for his expertise, but for his integrity and dedication.Diagnosed with diabetes as a child, he turned a lifelong challenge into a mission of service. He was passionately involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, where he worked tirelessly to raise awareness and support research efforts. He organized and hosted numerous fundraising events and proudly served as a representative for the foundation within the General Motors community. Through his advocacy, he inspired many and made a lasting impact in the fight against juvenile diabetes.Paul was a devoted husband who never stopped loving his wife, even after her passing two years ago. Her memory remained at the center of his world, and he carried that love with him in all that he did. His quiet routines, including the simple joy he found in feeding neighborhood squirrels, reflected a gentle and caring spirit that touched those around him. Above all else Paul had an unwavering love for his family. His daughters, their husbands and his grandchildren were his greatest pride and his deepest love.He is the beloved husband of the late Dorothy. Loving father of Hannah (Ian) Grant and Claire (Dominic) Corona. Very proud papa of Liam, Georgia, and Lily Grant and George and Cora Corona. Cherished son of Lula Anna and the late Donald Dupire. Dear brother of Paula (Rick) LaRue, Debbie (the late David) Swope, and Janice (Rick) Wolyniec. Paul will be dearly missed by his numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and large group of friends.Visitation Thursday 2-8 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc. 49150 Schoenherr Rd.
