He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Biekert and Mary B. Weihrauch Biekert; his wife Mary Ann Bowes; his son Anthony Biekert; and his son-in-law Rick Leandri.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Biekert, Steven Biekert (Pattie), Maureen Miller (Bob), Vicki Leandri and Theresa Ouellette (Gil); and his daughter-in-law Cheryl Biekert.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Byles Groton Memorial (310 Thames St, Groton, CT 06340). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (56 Sacred Heart Dr, Groton, CT 06340).
