Paul Bartman

Paul Bartman, 55, of Ogdensburg, New York, passed away on March 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Known affectionately as Paulie, he was a beloved figure in Ogdensburg, embraced as an adopted son by countless friends and family members who held him dear.

Born in Ogdensburg on May 12, 1970, to Linda Rheome, Paul graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1991 with an IEP Diploma. He worked at Price Chopper and Seaway Industries. A devoted supporter of local athletics, he was the biggest cheerleader for Ogdensburg Free Academy sports and actively participated in city baseball, softball, and bowling leagues. He also competed in Special Olympics, earned a purple belt in karate, and cherished his time at the Ogdensburg Boys’ and Girls’ Club. Paul’s daily joy came from riding his bike around town, visiting local establishments and spending time with friends. A passionate fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Yankees, and WWF, he loved road trips to rock concerts and winter travels to Florida with his mother.

Paul is survived by many cousins and step-relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Mashaw, his stepfather, Terry Mashaw, and his adopted father, Jay Bartman. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Spruce Street IRA for the care and love they gave him throughout the years.
