Paul "Smiley" Andrew Reilly

Kinder-Paul “Smiley” Andrew Reilly, 65, of Kinder, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Born on May 25, 1961, in Gary, Indiana, to Patrick Reilly and Jonah Stuhlmacher, Paul grew up with a natural talent for athletics. In high school he won state championships in both baseball and football, and he remained an avid sports fan throughout his life.

Known to friends and family as “Smiley,” Paul had a gift for forming genuine connections with everyone he met. He offered help freely and made others feel welcome, whether they were longtime friends or passing acquaintances. A true Jack of all trades, he could build or repair nearly anything he put his hands on. He lived a simple life and found joy in spending his days outdoors, tending to his yard, equipment, and buildings.

Paul was a beloved son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his parents, Pat and Jonah Reilly; his daughter, Kristina Franz; two brothers, Bill and Tom Reilly; three sisters, Jana Weidler, Carol Levy, and Karen Lynn; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Reilly.

His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
