Newton Falls, OH

Patty Kay Long, age 78, of Newton Falls, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, at the Hospice House in Poland. Born on February 20, 1948, in Middlebourne, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Earnest Ray Baker and Masil Gwen Hamilton Baker. A 1966 graduate of Tyler County High School, Patty moved to Newton Falls in 1968 after marrying the love of her life, Larry W. Long, on September 30, 1966. The couple shared nearly 40 years of marriage until Larry’s death on June 28, 2006.

Patty was a longtime member of the First Christian Church and the Red Hat Society. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she found deep joy in singing in the church choir, spending time outdoors, tending her yard and garden, attending services, and supporting her children and grandchildren at their sporting events. Her warm presence and quiet dedication left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Crystal and Ronald Vincent of Champion, Ohio; sons Larry Long II of Warren and Kurt and Michelle Long of Southington; brothers Carl Baker of Grand Junction, Colorado, Dean Baker of Middlebourne, West Virginia, and Phil and Lisa Baker of Sistersville, West Virginia; four grandchildren, Samantha, Corey, Justin, and Marisa; and two great-grandchildren, Kylie Rose and Kaylynn Mariah.
