Patty Kane-Barrett ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Rogers Funeral Home, Inc. - Philadelphia on Mar. 13, 2026.Patricia "Patty" Barrett (née Kane), 65, originally from Philadelphia, PA and a longtime resident of Brigantine, NJ, was called home to the Lord after an unexpected battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love and presence of her daughter and family.Patty was predeceased in death by her parents, Bernard and Theresa Kane and her brother and sister-in-law Bin and Margie Kane.She is survived by her loving daughter, best friend, and greatest joy, Brigid Barrett, with whom she shared an exceptionally close bond with and a lifetime of memories, including their favorite time spent together in Boca Raton, Florida. She also leaves behind her beloved siblings Terry Black (Joe), Mariellen Rachubinski (Mike), and Erin Schweikert (Fred), all of whom showed up with love and support, knowing that although this was Patty's battle to fight, she was never alone. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and her grandpups, Penny and Ivy.To say Patty was deeply loved by her extended family and many friends, all of whom she loved dearly, is truly an understatement.She also leaves behind her friend, John Mello, with whom she shared many wonderful years.Patty will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, her contagious laugh and her big heart. Her greatest legacy is the love she gave and the family she held so close to her heart.Like the good Irish Catholic girl Patty was, she will be buried on Saint Patrick's Day, March 17th.Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing and Funeral, Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 331 8th Street South, Brigantine, NJ after 9:30 AM until 11 AM followed by her Mass of Christian Burial.
