Patty Nelson ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by McCulla Funeral Home on Mar. 16, 2026.Patricia (Bryan) Nelson, of Petersburg, WV, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, at the age of 70.Patricia was born on September 30, 1955, in Bath County, VA, to the late James William Bryan, Sr, and Iva McNabb Bryan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Lynn Nelson; a sister, Betty Jo Bryan; and three brothers, James (Jimmy) Bryan, Jr, Carl Bryan, and Donald (Donnie) Bryan.She is survived by her daughters, Jessica Bolyard (Justin) of Morgantown, WV and Melissa Haggerty (Michael) of Petersburg, WV. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Caiden Nelson, Anna Haggerty, and Axel Haggerty, who brought her great joy. She is also survived by her cherished grand-dog, Beau.Patricia lived a life centered on family, friendship, and the simple joys that brought people together. She enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, spending time with her friends, and traveling and attending automotive events with her husband.She will be remembered for her kindness, her love for her family, and the many memories she created with those who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who loved her.Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at Schaeffer Funeral Home, 11 N Main Street, Petersburg, WV on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 11 am until 1 pm. Patty will be laid to rest with her parents at Warm Springs Cemetery, in Warm Springs, VA at a later date.
