Patsy Johnson ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Woodstock on Mar. 16, 2026.Patsy was born January 12th 1925 to an Italian Immigrant, Francisco Giovani Michenzi, and a Cherkee Indian, Nancy Brock. She was the second of six children, and was the last of her generation. She was proceeded in death by her father, mother,sisters Elizabeth, and Frnakie, and by brothers Joe, George, and Vincent. She has achieved the status of being th oldest member of the family ever, having lived for over 101 years. She survived the Great Depression, World War II, the Korean War, financial hardships and many other difficulties along life's way. One of her motivational sayings was "Stand up straight, hold your head up, but never look down on anyone". She was a worker! She went at everything she did as to get the job done. Over the years Patsy was a restaurant waitress, a clerk at Woolworth, a restaurant owner, and a purveyor of a mountain produced beverage. ( The one they made movies about).She retired as a grocery store clerk from Kroger at the young age of 93, following 25 years of service. Along the way, she made considerable donations to Shriners Childrens's Hospital, Saint Jude's Research Hospital, Disabled Veterans Associations, and sheriffs homes for the unfortunate.She was somewhat, a global traveler having been to Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, through the Panama Canal, and a few othe Caribbean countries.Patsy leaves behind a family of 23 to date. Her son, Billy Joe, (Jo Nell), daughter, Leslie Ella, (Billy Clark). 6 grandsons, Kevin, David, Scott, Stephen, Michael, Matthew, and their spouses, along with granddaughter, Allison. Also, Patsy leaves her eleven great grandchildren, Benjamin, Katherine, Nichole, Layne, Samantha, Jacob, and Jayden Johnson, Michaela, and Bryson Plato, Ashley, and Christopher Taylor. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.Patsy, she has always had a green thumb, she could grow potato's on a concrete block and so, as she would have said," I am the root of the family and my descendants are offshoots of the root. As such, I am not gone,but I am merely transplanted with new roots and blossoms". "Each of my descendants is merely an extension of me!"To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
