Donohue of Edgewater Park passed away on Sunday March 15, 2026 at the age of 77, a few days short of his 78th birthday. A Beverly boy and graduate of Palmyra High School, Pat served his country honorably during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army's 199th Light Infantry Brigade in 1969-1970. Pat was a proud husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend.Patrick was well-liked, generous, caring, and "Irish-stubborn". He loved the Eagles and the Phillies, summers on LBI with his family, Saint Patrick's Day, and hosting the BEST Christmas Day open houses. Patrick was the loving and devoted husband of 52 years to Veronica D'Ascentis Donohue and loving father to Kelly Evans (Lori) and Dr. Patrick Donohue (Rebecca). Pat was the loving Pop-pop to Jake, Addie, Daniel, Kacey, Lexi, and Molly Rose. He was an uncle to Martin Donohue (Eileen), Dr. Dane Donohue (Jill), Dr. Denise Chranowski (Steve), and Jenise D'Ascentis (Shelby). Patrick was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Albert, and his brother, Dr. Martin "Marty" Donohue.Patrick was an athlete throughout high school, and also loved his time coaching the kids of Beverly and Edgewater Park in youth and Pop Warner football in the 1980s and 1990s. He was also a longtime and founding member of the Beverly Athletic Club and played on the men' s softball team for many years. He worked for and retired from the NJ American Water Company after 39 years of service and enjoyed his retirement with his wife and family.The family invites friends to his viewing and Mass of Christian burial at Jesus the Good Shepard Parish (Saint Joseph's Church in Beverly) on Warren Street on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Viewing will be held from 10:30 am until noon. Mass will begin at noon, with burial to follow at Monument Cemetery with U.S. Army Honors.
