Patrick Murphy ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Brown Funeral Home - Wilmington on Mar. 17, 2026.Patrick Henry "Hank" Murphy, age 65, of Clarksville, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, March 16, 2026, with his loving wife, Anita, by his side. Hank was born June 16, 1960, in Wilmington, the son of the late Leo and Alma M. (Hooker) Murphy and was a lifelong resident of Clarksville. He was a 1979 graduate of Clinton Massie High School that had attended Laurel Oaks. Hank had worked and retired as a welder after 33 years with Leyman Manufacturing in Blue Ash. A man of few words, Hank was a very organized man that loved to plant and watch things grow, loved his wife's cats, and was very well liked by all who knew him. He attended Villars Chapel Church in Wilmington and was saved and baptized in June of 2024. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 30 years, Anita Ann Murphy, whom was by his side through everything; his children, Jenny (Bill) Gibson of Wilmington, Denny (Kaye) Claxton of Dayton, and April Linn of Dayton; Siblings, George (Mary) Murphy of Lebanon, Judy (William Harrison) Mitchell of Ocala, Florida, Mary (Ben) Conger of Wilmington, and Randolph (Pamela) Murphy of Troy; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; good friends, Todd Redfern, Jimmy Shelton, Tim and Sherry Brandenstein, Billy Hubble, Eric Kratzer, and Peggy Thomas; sisters-in-law, Diana Murphy and Janet Murphy. Hank is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Alma Murphy; siblings, Richard Murphy, Art Murphy, Alice Robbins, and Sandra Grisham; brothers-in-law, Frank Mitchell and James Grisham; and Diana L. Murphy (Grower), mother of his daughter, Jenny. Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Burial will immediately follow in Clarksville Cemetery. Greg Oliver and Rick Cordy will officiate. Visitation will be held 5:00 until 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the funeral home.
