Patrick Bowman ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Scott Funeral Home - Saint Jo on Mar. 13, 2026.Mass of Christian Burial for Patrick "Pat" David Bowman, age 79, of Saint Jo, Texas will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster. Burial will be in Boerne, Texas at a later date. A Rosary and Vigil will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster. Mr. Bowman died peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2026.Pat was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on August 7, 1946 to Billy Neal and Rubinelle Russell Bowman. He lived his youth in Austin, Kileen, San Antonio, and Boerne, Texas.He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in San Antionio, Texas. After graduation, he attended San Angelo State College in San Angelo, Texas and North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. He enlisted in the United States Navy from 1967-1970 and Naval Reserves until 1973. After his military service, he attended Texas A&M University and in 1975, earned a petroleum geology degree. He worked as a prospecting geologist in the Oil & Gas business in Louisiana and Texas.It is impossible to adequately define the magnitude of Pat's positive influence on so many people. His outlook on life and saying was "the glass isn't half empty, its half full" whatever the outcome may be. Those who knew Pat, which were MANY, knew a man excited about life and excited about geology, loved the Lord and his family beyond measure. He carried an infectious smile, told many great stories, jokes and words of great wisdom and always directed conversations towards the interest of others rather than himself.Pat leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and faith in God leaving an indelible mark on our lives.He is survived by his wife: Janet Dangelmayr Bowman; son: Zach and wife Jessica Bowman; daughters: Meredith Bowman, Amy and husband Alvin Rushing, Jessica Pagel, Michelle and husband Colt Carter, and Lydia and husband Ethen Hager; grandchildren: Kylie, Kaelyn, Kodi, Knox and Jett Bowman, Brylie, Charli, Quincy, Koy, and Leddy Hager, Quaid and Hardy Terry, and Callan Carter; mother-in-law: Charlotte Dangelmayr; and many business acquaintances and a host of family and friends.Pat was preceded in death by his parents: Billy and Rubinelle Bowman; brothers: Michael and Casey Bowman; daughter: Ashley Bowman; grandson: Coen Bill Carter; father-in-law: Billy Joe Dangelmayr; and brother-in-law: John G. Dangelmayr.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patrick's honor to the Sacred Heart Trust Fund.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
