Patricia Young ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Oak Lawn Funeral Home-Cremation Center and Memorial Cemetery on Mar. 12, 2026.Patricia Hinkel Young passed away on March 12, 2026 with her family by her side.Patricia was born on April 3, 1950 in Springerville, Arizona to the late Louis and Totsie Hinkle.Patricia enjoyed simple joys in life and found happiness fishing in quiet waters, finding hidden treasures at yard sales, or camping beneath open skies. Her hands were rarely idol as she loved crafting things that reflected her imagination and warmth.Patricia's spirit of adventure led her to choose a career of travel as a truck driver and later a bus aid for schools. Patricia also found friendship and community through her involvement with SCA events where a love of history, fellowship, and craft truly shined. Patricia traveled many places, but home was her favorite place to be, with her family and her animals that she loved more than words could say.In addition to her parents, Ms. Young is preceded in death by her husband Charles Young Sr., Brother Louis Hinkel Jr., Sister-in-law Kellie Hinkel, and a son William Anderson.Ms. Young is survived by her children Vernon (Janette), Anderson, Tammy Hysell, Travis (Amy) Anderson, Chuck (Ruby) Young, Chanda (Jody) Anderson Leesa Myers, Matt (Sydney) Young , and Jimmy Young.Her special niece Shawn HinkelGrandchildren: Katie, Adam, (Cody), Holly, Theo, Summer, (Skyler), Cheyenne, (Andy), Jazmine, Gannon, Madison, Ella, Logan, Curtis, Nick, Zach, Courtney, Jimmy, Taylor, (Shanelle), Jody, Johnny, Ashley, Candice, (Eric), Erika, (Jeff), Trenton, Trevor, Tatum, Olivia, (Leith), Arianna, (Christian), Allison, (Keith), and Blake and many great-grandchildren.Patricia also leaves behind her companion Mr. Jerry Devine.Services honoring Ms. Young will be held on Tuesday, 17, 2026 at 11:00am in the chapel of Oak Lawn Funeral Home.The family will welcome friends for a visitation on Tuesday March 17, 2026 from 9:00am to 11:00am.Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Online condolences may be made to the family at oaklawnmemorial.comView All PhotosAdd Photos to MemorialTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
