Patricia White
November 25, 1939— March 10, 2026
Southborough, MA
Patricia White, of Southborough, Massachusetts and Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 86, surrounded by her family.
Born in Newton, Massachusetts in 1939 to Catherine (Bonarrigo) of Italy and William Docherty of Scotland, Pat was raised in Waltham, where she cherished her childhood home on Beal Road and the time spent working alongside her siblings at her father’s bakery, Meikle’s, in Brighton. She often spoke of her wonderful family with deep affection. She met her husband Randy at the Wal-Lex in Waltham, and they shared sixty years together. Randy served as an Army First Lieutenant in the 82nd Airborne and weapons instructor at West Point before becoming a serial entrepreneur. Pat and Randy built businesses side by side while raising their family in New York and Massachusetts, later retiring to Florida in 2000. Together they enjoyed family vacations to New York City and Puerto Rico, summers in Yarmouth and Wallingford, many New Year’s Eves in Las Vegas, and the honor of attending two Presidential Inaugurations.
Pat’s cooking was legendary, especially her Bolognese, shortbread, and stews. She loved cannoli, chocolate, Cabot’s, crossword puzzles, poker, old movies, Perry Como, the Andrews Sisters, Italian music, and bagpipes. She faithfully attended her children’s and grandchildren’s sports and school activities and held a special fondness for Tom Selleck. With the kindest heart, softest hands, a mischievous sense of humor, and quiet resolve, Pat made life good for everyone around her. In her later years, nothing brought her greater joy than her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Randy, her siblings and their spouses Catherine and Al Terrano, Billy and Geraldine Docherty, Marie and Ron Ostman, and her dearest friend Lori LePage. Pat is survived by her daughter Cheryl, her son Lee and his wife Eileen, granddaughters Haydn and Emerson, in-laws Maureen and Joseph Bentley, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will rest beside her husband at the National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida.
