Patricia Taylor

Patricia Ann Taylor was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on August 24, 1930, to Cecil and Valeria (DeLascmendt) Griffin. She graduated from the St. Louis school district and earned a bachelor’s degree in primary education. While teaching full time in St. Louis, she met the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Taylor. They married on October 17, 1953, and together raised three children: Mark, Pamela, and Matthew.

In 1963, Patricia and Bob moved with their family to Springfield, Missouri, where Bob worked for the Frisco Railroad. Patricia was known for her bubbly, loving personality. Her warm smile could light up any room and draw people to her naturally.

She passed away peacefully in Springfield on March 13, 2026, at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Bob; her parents; and her in-laws, Elmer and Mamie Taylor.

Patricia is survived by her son Mark and his wife Barbara, her daughter Pamela, and her son Matt. She also leaves behind five grandchildren—Yvonne Ralph, Samantha Arrington and her husband Mark, Tim Taylor, Robert Pfeifer and his wife Khris, and Tiffany Taylor—and four great-grandchildren.
