Patricia Sue Vickers

Patricia Sue Vickers, age 85, of Brookville, Indiana, passed away on March 12, 2026 at her residence following a brief illness. Born on July 28, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Nevie (Engle) Sears. She was the devoted wife of Charles Vickers, who preceded her in death on September 5, 2023.

Patricia found great joy in shopping, drawing, and crocheting. She cherished holidays and every moment spent with family and friends. A gifted singer with a beautiful voice, she loved music and listened to her CDs daily. She took pride in her garden, savoring fresh vegetables and carefully canning and preserving her harvest. Known for her warm and generous spirit, she never met a stranger and greeted others with hugs and kindness. Her favorite film was A Star is Born starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.

She is survived by her four children, Nevie Vickers of Williamsburg, Ohio, Charles J. Vickers III of Brookville, Indiana, Shelly Sizemore of Moores Hill, Indiana, and Benjamin J. Vickers of Edgewood, Kentucky; many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Stapleton and Freida Centers, and a brother, J.T. Sears.
