Patricia Pasquale ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Sullivan's Funeral Home - Horseheads on Mar. 9, 2026.Patricia "Pat" Pasquale (Hunt), born October 31, 1929, in New York City, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026 in Lillington, NC at the age of 96 with her loving family at her side.She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, August C. Pasquale Jr.; her parents, Clifford and Martha Hunt and her half-sister, Pearl Abrams.She is survived by her son, August C. Pasquale III, M.D. (Lori Kuhens Pasquale) of MD, daughters, Kimberly Renee Ortenzio (Pasquale) of NC, Christine Regina Miller (Jacob V Miller II) of NY, Gina Rosanne Haseker (Pasquale) of NC, Lisa Rae Frey (Christopher Frey) of NC; grandchildren August C. Pasquale IV, Kristin Renee Barta, Jacob Verne Miller III, Ian Thomas Miller, Meagan Christine Miller, Nathan James Haseker, Madison Rose Haseker, Nicholas James Frey; and great grandchildren Natalie Miller, Jacob Miller IV, Arianna Miller, Jackson Miller, Kylie Miller, Elsa Miller and Jameson Miller; and niece, Paulette Culbert of VA.Pat graduated from Greenville Central High School in Greenville NY and spent much of her life serving the Horseheads community. She was a Lifeguard, Lifeguard Instructor and an Adult & Children's Swimming Instructor at Thorne Street Community Pool, Horseheads, NY, the Elmira YMCA and Elmira Country Club Pool. She also served as President of the Horseheads Lioness Club, as well as owned and operated the 4th Street Market, Watkins Glen, NY.Pat worked in and was a loyal, dedicated contributor to the Horseheads Central School District system for 40 years. She worked as a teacher's aide at Junior High West and the High School and as Coordinator for both Horseheads and BOCES night school. She was a devoted Horseheads School District sports enthusiast serving as timekeeper and selling tickets for Horseheads High School fall and winter sports.Pat enjoyed many lifelong friendships including those with Shirley Kohan, Wilma Wiley, Lyn Nalbach, Judy Frey, Joyce Arms, Joan Mosher, Joanie Keys, Jo Witzel, and Margo Jensen.Pat was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, educator, and friend. She touched countless lives with her kindness, dedication, and gentle warmth. Her greatest joy was loving and caring for her children. She had great pride in her children, their interests and accomplishments and was always there supporting them in their schoolwork, athletics and other extracurricular activities. She touched many lives, helped save many and will be missed by all who knew her.The family welcomes relatives and friends to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St., Horseheads, NY, Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 2-4pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Mary Our Mother Church, 816 West Broad Street, Horseheads, NY on Monday, March 16, 2026 from 10-11am. She will be laid to rest immediately following the mass at St Mary Our Mother Cemetery followed by a reception in St Mary Our Mother Church.
