Patricia R. "PAT" Curran

January 24, 1941 March 3, 2026

South Boston, MA

Patricia R. (Flynn) Curran, beloved mother, Nana, and GiGi, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, at the age of 85 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Massachusetts. Born on January 24, 1941, in Winthrop, Massachusetts, she became a lifelong resident of South Boston, where she raised her five children alongside her husband, Edward.

Pat was a caring, loving, affectionate, and honest woman whose unconditional love touched everyone she knew. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her family. She created cherished memories during ferry rides to Nantasket, trips to the ocean, vacations on Cape Cod, and travels to Niagara Falls, the Catskill Mountains, New York City, and Ireland. Above all, she treasured her camper at Silver Sands in New Hampshire, where children and grandchildren gathered around campfires to roast marshmallows, laugh together, play horseshoes and cards, swim in the lake, and ride bikes.

Later in life, while residing at Monsignor Powers, Pat formed close and meaningful friendships with Chris, Leo, Dawn, and Linda, who brought her comfort and joy. A devoted and compassionate mother, she leaves behind a family that will carry her spirit always.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Declan and Theresa Flynn, her sisters Beverly Gates and Theresa Willy, her nephew Sean Willy, and her husband Edward Curran. Pat is survived by her five children, Patricia Reed of Randolph, Michael Curran of Holbrook, John Curran of Canton, Edward Curran of Holbrook, and Sharon Curran of South Boston; nine grandchildren, Nicole, Laurence, Kaitlyn, Samantha, Johnny, Paul, Jack, Sophia, and Morgan; five great-grandchildren, Christopher, Jayden, Christian, Gianna, and Lexi; and her loving nieces and nephews.
