Patricia Quarnstrom

August 31, 1958 March 7, 2026

Palm Harbor, FL

Patricia Bernadette Quarnstrom passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, in Palm Harbor, Florida. Born on August 31, 1958, in La Baule, Loire Atlantique, France, she was raised in the neighboring town by her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Yvonne La Berre. Patricia maintained deep connections to her French heritage throughout her life, cherishing the sea, French cuisine, soap operas, and politics.

She moved to the United States in 1977 to attend college in Dahlonega, Georgia, where she earned a BBA in Accounting and Management from North Georgia College. She later obtained an MBA in International Business with a minor in Human Resources from Georgia State University and Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris. In later years, she completed a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Patricia applied her education during a long career implementing business software for various companies. Colleagues consistently described her as kind and compassionate.

Her compassion was rooted in resilience and an enduring pursuit of knowledge. Patricia thought deeply about religion, politics, and current events, remaining passionate about her convictions. She filled her life with travel, reading, and watching television in both French and English. She treasured time spent with family and friends, fully present in those moments.

Patricia is survived by Judy Carpenter and her beloved dog, Scout; cousins Catherine Moyon, Jean Charles Moyon, Sue Lagergreen, and Tom (Glenda) Quarnstrom; extended family members Tom Carpenter, Chuck Carpenter, Karen (Jim) Chance, and many nieces, great-nieces, and a great-nephew; and her dearest friend Elisabeth (Joao) Usselmann-Violante. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
