Patricia McIndoo ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Clements Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc - Durham on Mar. 7, 2026.Patricia Marie Warren McIndoo passed away peacefully at the age of 94 with family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gene McIndoo; parents, Malcolm Warren and Gladys Marie Tate Gaskins; brother, Robert Warren.Mrs. McIndoo is survived by her daughter, Teresa Stewart (Dennis); son, Thomas McIndoo; grandchildren, Christina Stewart, Diana Michaud (Jason), Kimberly Mitchell, William Stewart (Asia), Brian McIndoo; Great Grandchildren, Annabelle Michaud, Eleanor Michaud, Elijah Mitchell, Evan Stewart, Cora Otey, Wiley Stewart; sister, Jane Weir. After marrying the love of her life in 1948, Patricia easily fell into the role of housewife, preacher's wife, mother, and homemaker. She was the constant caregiver, making sure everyone was fed and well taken care of. In her "spare time", she enjoyed sewing and was a wonderful seamstress – making clothes for her children and, later, her grandchildren. She loved tending to her flowers and vegetable garden and always had a beautiful yard. Spending time volunteering at Duke Gardens in Durham was something she also enjoyed in her later years. The role of "preacher's wife" offered different opportunities in the churches they served in Indiana, Florida and North Carolina. Attending meals and events with her church family was something that brought her great joy.Raising their children, Teresa & Tom, came naturally to her. She loved being their mom and watching them grow and become parents themselves. The blessings of grandchildren and great-grandchildren delighted her in new ways, and she loved being their Grandma / Grandma Pat. To them, her candy dish was always full, a cookie or two was always near, and a gentle hug was always available. She loved her family more than anything and treasured every visit, phone call, and card she received.A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday March 11th at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham. A visitation will be held from 1pm – 2pm prior to the service. The burial will take place on a later date at Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute, Indiana. The family wishes to thank the staff at Croasdaile Village – Assisted Living for their unwavering love and care provided. You became like family to her, and we are so grateful to the entire staff for always looking out for her.Additionally, the family would like to thank the staff at Duke Health's Hock Family Pavilion for the exceptional hospice care provided.
